What Is Therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative process—a safe space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. It’s not about “fixing” you, but about exploring your unique story, finding understanding, and building new tools for coping, healing, and growth.
In therapy, you’ll have the chance to:

What to Expect Here.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s normal to feel a little nervous or unsure. Here’s how the process works:
After You Schedule Your First Appointment
Once you set up your initial session, you’ll receive a welcome email with a few important forms to complete before we meet. These documents help me get to know you a little better and ensure that your experience is safe, personalized, and confidential.
You’ll be able to fill out everything securely online at your own pace. If you have any questions or need help with the paperwork, just reach out—I’m always happy to walk you through the process.
What You’ll Receive:
Instructions for accessing your secure client portal
Intake forms and consent documents
Information about policies, privacy, and what to bring to your first session
Completing these forms ahead of time allows us to make the most of our time together, so we can focus on what matters most to you.
Your First Session
We’ll get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you in.
You’ll have the opportunity to share as much (or as little) as you’re comfortable with.
We’ll talk about your hopes for therapy and any questions you have.
Setting Goals Together
Therapy is tailored to your needs and goals.
We’ll work together to clarify what you’d like to get out of our time—whether that’s finding relief from anxiety, processing trauma, improving relationships, or understanding yourself more deeply.
Creating a Safe, Affirming Space
You are welcome here exactly as you are.
Sessions are confidential, and you set the pace—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.
Ongoing Support and Growth
We’ll explore both your struggles and your strengths, uncovering patterns and practicing new skills.
Progress isn’t always linear—healing takes time, and that’s okay.
Along the way, you’ll gain greater self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of empowerment in your own life.
