Letters of Support

Insurance companies often require a letter from a mental health care professional prior to all gender affirming surgeries, confirming that you are ready and able to give informed consent. Landlords often require a letter during the application process, if you have a need for an emotional support animal. I have been trained in both of these scenarios to perform assessments and letters of support.

Talk Therapy

Sometimes it's hard to talk to family or friends about difficulties in our life. Talk therapy can help you make sense of things and help you resolve complicated feelings. It can also help you to recognize some patterns within yourself in how you think or react in situations that you may want to change. Emotional and relational pain are a part of the human experience. It's important to know you are not alone and your feelings matter.

EMDR

EMDR is a highly researched and effective psychotherapy designed to help you heal from traumatic experiences. It allows you to access and process unresolved traumatic memories in a way that feels safe, without becoming overwhelmed.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require you to analyze or change your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors related to the distressing experience. Instead, it helps your brain resume its natural healing process. Over time, you may find that past triggers lose their intensity, leaving you feeling more empowered and in control of your experiences.

ADHD Testing

If you often struggle with distractibility, difficulty completing tasks, disorganization, forgetfulness, impulsivity, losing things, or challenges with money and relationships, you may have ADHD. These symptoms can go beyond occasional forgetfulness or procrastination, impacting daily life in significant ways. When left untreated, ADHD can contribute to anxiety, depression, impulsive decision-making, and even substance use—whether as a form of self-medicating or due to difficulty with impulse control. It can also lead to impulsive spending, inconsistent dietary choices, or engaging in risky behaviors. If you’re concerned that you may have ADHD and want to explore an assessment, I’m here to support you.
